However depending on the finish Auric sounds like it's the product that would better suit your wants.Īs a side-note: How much are you are going to want to use this purchase after your wedding? The CT comes in a mini and the Auric product is fairly giant.
#Hollywood flawless filter skin
My skin is very light reflecting so the slight metallic nature is infinity more flattering on me than Auric which can come off as subtle even after attempting to build up multiple layers. Neither are "bad products" but I vastly prefer the Charlotte Tilbury product over the Auric for the formula alone. As a liquid highlighter this leans more in a subtle glow than a shine. The reflection is also pretty neutral but it does lean slightly sliver in my experience. The reformulated morganite has a very pale true neutral base. There is no sparkles but also no linear shine. The shimmer particles are also very finely milled but the base of the formula gives a more subtle dispersed finish. Once blended out it remains slightly tacky and almost has a grippy texture. It goes on thicker too and I would describe it as a semi setting formula. As solely a liquid highlighter it is more in line with an actual highlighter than a subtle lit from within glow as the product is actively shiny.Īuric is a little thicker formula wise and feels more like a whipped or cream formula. Fair 2 is extremely peachy but still has a silver reflect. Fair 1 is very pink with a silver reflect. The base is pigmented enough to offer some kind of correction but sheer enough to let your skin shine through. Shade range wise the tones/ undertones in CT are heavily skewed towards very pale people. It all depends on the natural light reflection of your skin. This result can look off and pore enhancing or really natural and glowy. It's shine particles are very finely milled and gives of an almost linear reflection which makes the product appear more metallic. For targeted application as highlighter it still doesn't dry down fully but I don't have the "heaviness" issue. It does go on very thinly but it can feel slightly heavy if I use it as a base or as a tinted moisturizer as it doesn't really dry down. This was the YASSS! moment.I own both: Auric Glowlust in the Reformulated Morganite Shade and Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter in Shade 2.įormula wise I find them pretty different.ĬT has a very smooth emollient formula. Instead, I used my usual tinted moisturiser and then applied Hollywood Flawless Filter to the tops of my cheekbones, cupid's bow and brow bone. The second time I tried it, I steered clear of my forehead and chin because I produce a crazy amount of oil in this area and don't need any extra glow there. I asked my friends if it looked like I was wearing any makeup, to which they said "no, but your skin looks great". It provided enough coverage to reduce redness and blur minor imperfections, but it just looked like my skin. The product is a similar colour to a foundation, but when you blend it out it has a pearlescent, perhaps slightly pink glow to it (for shade No 2 at least).įor my oily forehead it was a bit much, but everywhere else just looked like I'd had the most hydrating facial known to man. The product didn't look shimmery or glittery. It was so gloriously glowy, I almost passed out. I started by applying it on its own, all over my face. The wand applicator is similar to a doe foot lipgloss, only bigger, and I used it to apply the product directly to my face and then blended using either a sponge or my fingers.Īs the product is so multi-purpose, you can use it in various ways. The bottle is signature Charlotte – glass with a luxe gold lid. The product is available in seven shades to suit various skin tones, and No.
